Ancient History Taught Through Sculpture

Later, after a cool draft of Alpha, the local brew, Mrs. El Abuelo and I went to the Ancient History museum, not too far from the hotel. It is a wonderful exhibit, open and airy, with light pouring in through ceiling windows, illuminating the wonderful sculpture below.
I had never consider how much can be derived from sculpture simply by looking through guided eyes. Our guide, presumably a distant cousin of Melina Mercouri, former Minister of Culture of Greece and world famous movie actress. Who is now honored with a beautiful sculpture herself, not too far from the museum.
