Finding Hobbits

My trip alone started in Nelson Lakes on the South Island. I traveled due west to Westport where I saw the seal colony. Then I traveled south to the Pancake Rocks near Greymouth. Then I stayed a night in Awatuna, just north of Hokitika. The next day I climbed the glacier at Franz Josef and then drove on to Moeraki Lodge. Today my travels turn back east and then south as I cross the highest mountain paths in New Zealand...... looking for Hobbits.

There is some evidence that the Hobbits live here. While tramping on the Monro Track, I found what could only be described as the entrance to Bilbo Baggins home.

If you don't see it that way then use your imagination.
