Three Days in LA

My oldest son is an editor working for various cable production companies. Knowing that I was going to work in San Diego on Thursday and Friday, he doubled up his shifts in LA and got free so we could get together on Friday and then spend some time together on Saturday and Sunday. We spent most of our time Friday night walking around Westwood and having some great sushi.

Later that weekend, we visited Amoeba Records and Video in Hollywood. We found some great bargains on film noir. What a store! I wore out my shoes walking.

After a good sandwich at Houston's barbeque, we went back to the apartment and watched 3 Kings that evening.

Sunday we went back to Westwood and eventually found a place for lunch and couple of Fat Tire drafts.

We finally bought two bottles of merlot and had a long evening talking with his downstairs neighbor about life, people management, love, mystery writers, Thailand and Vietnam and where to travel to next. The South Australian merlot with a penguin on the label is smooth and sweet.

Sunday night we watched 300 at Grauman's Chinese No. 7. Comments on that movie later.
Monday I continued to work on my presentation for Thursday in New York, confirm my arrangements for New Orleans on Wednesday and catch my breath after all that walking. Sphere: Related Content
