Bonefishing in Los Roques, Venezuela

The flats of Los Roques

My home away from home. A fishing shack on the flats.

Lobster feast - lunchtime in Los Roques, all the lobster and beer you want for $20

Skip catches a nice bonefish in the harbor. He can catch them anywhere!

Waving goodbye to our pilot as we prepare to fish in Katmai National Park Alaska, September, 2006.

Typical rainbow on the Katmai. These strong bows live in the surrounding lakes and then
come into the rivers to feed on Salmon eggs. They are much easier to catch than the rainbows which rove in the Nak Nak about 45 minutes flight away near King Salmon AK.

el Abuelo, Skip, the Galvans, Shane of the Flyshop and Pilot after a long day of dealing with bears, salmon, mosquitos and about 200 rainbows landed and released - 50 per fisherman!
