US Dollar to New Zealand Dollar Exchange Forecast

It looks like each NZ dollar is .69 of a U.S. Dollar or you can Get $1.30 NZ for each U.S. dollar. So a New Zealand camera lens which costs $942.00 NZ would cost about $ 724.00 U.S. Am I thinking correctly about this? However, if you shop for the same item in the United States, you find that the cost in the U.S. is substantially less.
I made my decision to buy myself (with my wife's gracious support) a wide angle lens before leaving for Auckland and the South Island. I have seen many beautiful panoramas posted of New Zealand (excellent examples of which can be found at http://www.slrobertson.com/galleries/new-zealand/pano/

I chose the 12-24 by Tokina which was specifically made for digital cameras. The actual photos will tell whether I made the best choice. For the debate comparing the 12-14 to the Sigma 10-20, read this link:
